This is an appeal from parts of a judgment of divorce brought by the husband, defendant-appellant, hereinafter termed husband. The trial court granted a decree of absolute divorce on the grounds of cruel and inhuman treatment to the wife, plaintiff-respondent, hereinafter termed wife. Custody of the minor child of the parties was granted to the wife. The husband on this appeal challenges (1) the division of the property of the parties, a division made in lieu of alimony, alimony being denied; (2) the requirement in the judgment that the husband pay the fee of the court-appointed guardian ad litem for the child of the parties. Facts material to the appeal are set forth in the opinion.
